Did you send it in some cake? At least that way he gets to eat something. He is probably hungry. I am sure the food in jail is not any good.
Plus...(adding onto the lovely Lee Ann's comment)...you could slip one of those long file thingys into the cake! Like in the old cartoons, you know? He could saw through the bars with it and then he wouldn't need that thing you sent.
He didn't get it anyways...
